Health and Child Care minister, Obadiah Moyo has been dismissed from his post as minister with immediate effect.
This follows an online petition signed by over 17 000 Zimbabweans demanding that he be relieved of his duties.
Recently Moyo was charged with criminal abuse of office after awarding a multi-million dollar tender to a consultancy firm, Drax International for Covid-19 medical supplies at inflated prices.
In a statement, Chief secretary to the President and Cabinet, Misheck Sibanda said Moyo had been sacked due to inappropriate conduct for a government minister.
