GOVERNMENT has suspended the Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) Ordinary and Advanced level examinations for June 2021.

The move is to allow learners to catch up with studies affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and put more focus on the November examinations sitting.

This was revealed by Information Minister, Monica Mutsvangwa at today’s post cabinet briefing in Harare.

“Cabinet approved a request for the suspension of the ZIMSEC June 2021 Ordinary and Advanced Level Examinations. This suspension will allow for timely focus on the November 2021 examination preparations.

“Logistics will be put in place to ensure candidates who wanted to sit for their examinations in June 2021 do so together with other students in November 2021.”
