It is a sad day for Zimbabwe football as former Dynamos midfielder and current assistant coach, Biggie Zuze has died.

Zuze passed on Thursday afternoon due to respiratory illness.

Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) President, Felton Kamambo extended his condolences in a Facebook post.

“Words cannot capture the pain I am feeling after learning of the the sudden death of Biggie Zuze.Zuze was much more than a Dynamos assistant coach. He was a Zimbabwean football Warrior and a man who served the game as a player and coach.

“In my capacity as Zifa president and indeed a football man I say Rest In Peace to a football hero.Unassuming, soft spoken but very knowledgeable was Biggie. Zimbabwean football is poorer without him.”

Mourners are gathered at the late coach’s home in Stoneridge Harare.

Zuze played for the Glamour Boys in 1980s to the early 90s for the Glamour Boys

He ventured into coaching after his playing days and was in charge of teams such as Monomotapa and Triangle before stints at Dynamos in various capacities.
