Bafana Bafana Announces Squad Ahead Of Warriors’ Clash

South Africa men’s senior national team, Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has named his 24-man squad for the FIFA World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe.

The battle of Limpopo is scheduled for 11 November and Bafana Bafana will host the Warriors at FNB Stadium, the kickoff time is 8pm.

The first leg between the two bitter rivals ended in goalless draw at National Sports Stadium in September.

At the moment, Bafana who are coached by Broos are leading the group with 10 points from four games, one point ahead of Ghana.

There are seven and nine points ahead of Ethiopia and Zimbabwe, respectively, as both teams are now out of the race to qualify for 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Bafana’s squad announcement comes at a time when interim coach, Norman Mapeza is yet to announce his squad.

Below is the official Bafana Bafana squad to face off Zimbabwe next week:

Goalkeepers: Ronwen Williams, Veli Mothwa, Bruce Bvuma.

Defenders: Nyikko Mobbie, Njabulo Blom, Siyanda Xulu, Rushine De Reuck, Njabulo Ngcobo, Terrence Mashego, Thibang Phete, Sifiso Hlanti.

Midfielders: Sphephelo Sithole, Thabani Zuke, Ethan Brooks, Teboho Mokoena, Yusuf Maart, Mduduzi Mdantsane, Keagan Dolly.

Forwards: Fagrie Lakay, Evidence Makgopa, Victor Letsoalo, Percy Tau, Bongokuhle Hlongwane, Mmodi Pule.
