7 Prince Edward A Level students test positive for Covid -19

265 boarders at Prince Edward School in Harare were tested for Covid -19 and the results came back with 7 pupils’ positive an official has confirmed.

This was revealed in a letter that was addressed to the parents and guardians of the pupils at the school by the school headmaster, Dr Agrippa Gora.

The latest tests were done on Wednesday 24 March 2021.

“Prince Edward School boarders were sent for Covid -19 testing at Parirenyatwa taking advantage of the free PCR testing being availed by the Higher Life Foundation. This was done as a precautionary measure. Unfortunately, the first batch of results has indicated that 7 seven 6 Upper boarders tested positive for Covid -29.

“The rest of the results are still to come in but all 265 boarders were tested with the last test done on Wednesday 24 March 2021,” wrote Gora.

The ones who tested positive are now in quarantine.

“The affected have been quarantined while awaiting instruction from the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education. All the relevant authorities have been informed. It is now up to parents to continue bringing their boys to school while waiting for further instructions.

Our boys will fight this and we are hopeful they will be back into the fold after the mandatory eight days. We will continue testing all our students,” he said.
