Women’s Cricket ropes in Yvonne Mangunda

The Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) Monday afternoon officially announced the appointment of former Star FM radio presenter Yvonne Mangunda as the new Brand Officer for the Lady Chevrons.


Mangunda has been assigned to carry out a number of duties for the women’s cricket, including, marketing the team’s brand and media and communications duties.


“Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Yvonne Mangunda as a Women’s Cricket Brand Officer.


“Her responsibilities will include pursuing commercial partnerships and promoting the brand and image of the women’s game,” reads part of the statement.


In addition: “She will also be responsible for liaising with the media and coordinating communication activities relating to women’s cricket.”


Manguda joins ZC a few days after she parted ways with her former employer Dynamos FC, where she was the marketing and communications manager.


ZC’s media and communications officer Darlington Majonga revealed that he is looking forward to see the former sports caster’s experience adding value to the growth of women’s cricket in Zimbabwe.
