Masvingo – A disagreement between one Denford Mazorodze (39) and his wife Rudo Chakanyuka turned nasty when the latter set the couple’s car on fire.
Acting Masvingo Police Spokesperson, Kudakwashe Dhewa confirmed the incident which took place at around 8am today.
The married couple which resides at KMP drove to Grace Mugabe Trading Centre (Chitima) in their white Nissan Caravan early morning.
As they were getting out of the car, Denford asked for the car keys Rudo which she refused to hand over leading to a verbal fight in which she threatened to burn the car.
This comes after Rudo had bashed the windscreen of the same vehicle on two separate occasions after she caught her husband engaging in an extra marital affair.
She later drove towards Mucheke Business centre leaving her husband who later called her and she told him she was burning their car.
Denford then followed her and found the car on fire.
Assistant Inspector Dhewa went on to urge people to solve their disputes amicably.
