The latest Zimbabwean Presidential candidate in the forthcoming elections, Robert Chapman of the Democratic Union of Zimbabwe has said citizens wont witness a free and fair election this year.

Speaking to the media aftter meeting hundreds of his followers,  Chapman said traditional rigging mechanisms will be put in place, however citizens must go on to vote.

“The elections are not going to be free and fair, historically they have not been but people should register to vote and that is the only way that we are going to change the current government.

“There are going to be rigging mechanisms put in place but if citizens turn up in their large numbers we will see results we have never seen in this country.  We need the same confidence and momentum we experienced in 2008,” he said.

Chapman added that President Emmerson Mnangagwa has no solutions for the suffering masses.

“Everyone is capable of noticing problems but with no solutions. We are tired of such leaders who identify problems but cant solve them.

Thats what we currently have right now in Zimbabwe, a leadership with no solutions to the suffering masses,” he said.

Chapman further urged Zimbabweans to register to vote.

“Noone is coming to save us as a nation from the current government. We are on our own and we should save ourselves by going out in numbers and register to vote and exercise the right to vote.
