Campus Life, an organization made up of University of Zimbabwe students, has launched an E-Series called Enlightenment Series which is meant to empower and encourage youths and graduates.

The E-Series has released two episodes with the very first episode featuring Proffesor Lovemore Madhuku and the latest episode having Advocate Beatrice Mthethwa.

Speaking to Bustop TV, Campus Life Committee Member and Enlightenment producer, Lonias Rozvi Majoni explained Enlightenment Series and what they hope to achieve.

He said, “It’s (Enlightenment Series) an online TV program by Campus Life, a ZYC registered youth organization by University students. The Organization Chairperson is Rutendo Chikwayi.

The program known as E-Series seeks to empower youths, tertiary students and graduates as well as the intellectual community at large. The hosts are Rutendo Chikwayi and Victor Marambi.

Majoni also gave a list of people they hope to interview.

He said, “So far we have interviewed Prof Madhuku who explained on various Constitutional issues that Zimbabweans should know about and we have also interviewed Human Rights Champion Beatrice Mtetwa who spoke on human rights and female empowerment. We have many episodes lined up including one on graduates who have made technological innovations and those who have made it into the mainstream politics like Gift Ostallos of MDC Alliance and Tafadzwa Mugwadi of ZANU-PF. We also wish to have an interview with the Minister of Youth Kirsty Coventry as well as various Vice Chancellors and other opinion leaders.”

The students are not being funded and Majoni expressed wishes of having partners and sponsors to help see through the vision.

“We are self funding and we hope to get partners and sponsors so that we can effectively achieve our objectives for creating a platform to enlighten and inform the intellectual community and the general public,” Majoni said.

The series can be accessed on the YouTube channel, Campus Life ZW and so far there are two episodes.
