Seven people perish after Nigerian airforce plane crush

A Nigerian air force passenger plan that was carrying 7 people crushed and all those on board perished. The accident took place just outside Abuja airport, on Sunday. 


According to an article published by Reuters on their twitter account, the accident occured as a result of engine failure.


The air force a spokesman, Ibikunle Daramole confirmed in a statement, “First responders are at the scene and sadly all the 7 personnel on board died in the crash,” he said.


Aircraft Beechcraft KingAir B350i, reportedly crushed on its way back to the Abuja airport, after reporting engine failure on its way to Minna.


However, names of the deceased have not yet been officially announced.


Meanwhile back home, two members of the Airforce of Zimbabwe (AFZ) namely; flying instructor, Squandron Leader, Mkhululi Dube and a trainee pilot, Officer Cadet, Silungile Sweswe also died on spot in Somabhula just outside Gweru, last year November.

It was reportedly said the plane there were boarding developed a technical fault trying to make a U-turn, during a routine training from Josiah Tungamirai Airbase.
