With 2023 beaconing, Zimbabweans are daily dolled with new political formations promising a bruising 2023 contest.

Last week, Freedom of Rights Under Sovereign (FORUS) was launched. Yesterday , Zimbabweans witnessed the launch of Divine Alliance for Vitalisation of Inspired Development (DAVID), led by Melbah Dzapasi. Today , while the flag bearer’s claimed it was not an official launch , the Patriotic Zimbabweans led by Charles Mutama addressed a presser outlining its diasporan vote vision.

Unconfirmed reports also allege that Dubai based Zimbabwean business woman and human rights activist, Edith Chibhamu has hinted on running for the to office in the upcoming 2023 presidential elections.

“Today Zimbabweans still face glaring injustices and inequality with many living below the poverty datum line with little or no hope of finding meaningful employment, hope has been eroded in lives of many Zimbabweans. Zimbabwe has just become a ‘basket case’, corruption and bad leadership has not only destroyed the nation, but has reduced it to a mere irony of George Orwell’s Animal farm that “All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others,” said Chibhamu.

As we draw close to 2023, it remains to be seen how the list will add. Already the likes of #1980 Freedom Movement Zimbabwe (FMZ), Kambizi Party as well as New Innovative Modernisation Front (NIMF), party led by Tendai Peter Munyanduri are all promising an all blistering 2023 contest.
