Mnangagwa Charmed By Boris Johnson

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has expressed his delight after meeting with the United Kingdom (UK) Prime Minister Boris Johnson for the first time since being elected Zimbabwe’s leader in 2018.

Mnangagwa posted a picture of himself in the company of Johnson and the United Nations secretary-general Antonio Guterres, captioned: “Thank you to PM @BorisJohnson and @antonioguterres for welcoming me to #COP26.

As the first President of Zimbabwe to visit the United Kingdom in a quarter of a century, it is clear that reengagement is working!”

This follows his trip to the UK for the 26th edition of the United Nations Climate Conference (COP 26) held in Glasgow, Scotland.

ED’s attendance at the global conference, comes after his invite by Britain in September.

The president also met with the British Ambassador Melanie Robson, recently.
