MDC youth assembly has intensified its rural mobilization campaign as the party aims 6 million votes in the forthcoming 2023 harmonized election.

In a statement MDC- Alliance youth assembly spokesperson, Stephen Chuma said, “From Mbire, Maungwe and Kondo young people are geared up for change in this country.

“We are solidifying the base by building a rural youth that is conscious of the struggle at hand, the national democratic agenda.”

Speaking to this Bustop TV, Chuma said MDC Alliance was confident it would win the rural vote come 2023.

“We are winning the rural vote. Over the weekend we invaded Kondo Chipinge West there is certainly no confusion at the base about who is the country’s next President. There is a general consensus among the youths and the elderly that the People’s President, Advocate Nelson Chamisa is the country’s best foot forward”.

Political tension is heating up as the country gears for the 2023 harmonized election. Analysts accuse the opposition of being urban-centric thus loosing elections.
