Foulmouthed Defence deputy minister Victor Matemadanda, who is also ZANU PF political commissar has been caught off side following his remarks on human rights lawyer Doug Coltart. Matemadanda this week made claims that son to former Minister of Education was paying doctors to stay away from work.

Responding to questions in the Senate Justice minister Ziyambi Ziyambi said ,

“My response is that government has one spokesperson which is the Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services.
“Whatever Matemadanda said depends on which platform he said that but our Constitution gives him the right to say whatever he wants, but that is not official government channels or information signed by the Information minister.”

Matemadanda has been attracting a lot of attention following his utterances some of which have been blamed for the continued political polarization in the country.

Recently he called civil servants “stubborn ” for demanding a decent wage a claim strongly condemned by civil servants representatives.
