Vice President Constantino Chiwenga’s estranged wife Marry Mubaiwa has been convicted of faking her marriage to her then hospitalised husband.
She was found guilty of having violated the Marriage Act.
Mubaiwa lied that Chiwenga who was in hospital in India at the time had consented to solemnise their wedding.
Mubaiwa was found guilty of the offence by Magistrate Lazini Ncube who said evidence from witnesses proved that Mubaiwa lied about Chiwenga’s consent.
She has three more pending court cases of fraud, attempted murder and money laundering.
