Madam Boss Apologizes Over “Reckless” Remarks

Popular comedienne, Madam Boss has apologized for her reckless comments over child marriages at the Johanne Marange Apostolic sect following the death of a pregnant minor at one of the church’s shrines in Bocha.

Speaking during a Facebook live stream video, Madam Boss in response to a fan who had asked her to take part in the protests against the child marriages in Marange, she said, “Fambai mega kuyenda kwa Maranga ikoko. Mozotiudza kuti zvaita seyi. Tinozongo poster tichiti ah job well done.”

 However in a statement to save face the popular comedienne said she regretted her unfortunate statements, claiming they were taken “out of context”.

“I’m pained that my live video a few days ago was taken out of context however I’m here today apologizing to each and everyone that was offended by that video and also to say I’m personally against child marriages and strongly hope the culprits of the Marange shrine be brought to book”.

Memory Machaya, a 14-year-old girl died in the past few weeks while giving birth at a Marange church shrine in Manicaland province. Her death has resulted in a massive public outcry, with citizens demanding that the perpetrators be prosecuted.
