Liquid Telecoms rebrands to Liquid Intelligent Technologies

Africa’s leading telecommunications provider, Liquid Telecom has changed its name to Liquid Intelligent Technologies, in an effort to expand and transform from being a solo telecommunications and digital provider to a full one stop shop technology group.


The Econet Wireless Global, subsidiary  company confirmed through a press statement.


In their statement, Liquid Telecoms indicated that the rebranding exercise will see the organization adding more of its services.


“Liquid Intelligent Technologies, a pan-African technology group, today announces the culmination of its extensive business transformation from being a telecommunications and digital services provider to a full one-stop-shop technology group through a group-wide rebrand.


“Over the last two decades, Liquid has firmly established itself as the leading pan-African digital infrastructure provider with an extensive network spanning over 73,000 KM.  This rebrand to Liquid Intelligent Technologies highlights the organisation’s expansion of its Cloud business, Cyber Security services, and other technologies added to its existing telecoms and connectivity capability,” reads their statement.


Liquid’s group Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Nic Rudnick also said, “Our ongoing investment in our networks and data centers across Africa have uniquely positioned us to utilize our infrastructure to accelerate the availability of new intelligent technologies including the high computing power of the Cloud, Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security to our customers. We are now excited to be executing our vision of bringing new technological opportunities to the market with a highly differentiated product set supported by our existing infrastructure and digital innovation.”


The telecommunications provider is well known for supplying telecoms solutions to at least 13 countries in Africa. Ranging from Eastern, Southern and South Africa. 


Liquid serves its clients with high speed and reliable connectivity, particularly those involved in media and content companies, mobile operators and carrier enterprises. It has provided the largest independent fiber of more than 70.000 kilometers in Africa.


Moreover, the company was formally formed in 1997 though known as Econet Satelite Services and it was rebranded to become Liquid Telecom in 2004.


Meanwhile, Liquid Intelligent Technologies as it is now officially known also added in their statement:
