Local movie director, Itai Muzondo is set to release a film, Death Reward which tackles issues around gender based violence which has remained rampant in the country.
The film which will premiere at a later date follows the events which surround the brutal murder of a prominent Gweru lawyer by her pilot boyfriend in November 2018 over cheating allegations.
Airforce of Zimbabwe pilot, Tashinga Musonza was earlier this year sentenced to 20 years in prison for killing lawyer Lucy Duve in a crime of passion.
Death Reward was written by Thelma Wandayi and motions and graphics done by Tinashe Gavi.
The film also highlights the plight of gender based violence victims and airs the views of activists and relevant authorities including the government.
