A church service for two Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority (ZimParks) whose bodies were retrieved in Lake Kariba two days back will be held today (Wednesday) in Harare.
The two rangers, Timothy Tembo and Mabharani Chidhumo went missing on the 31st of December and their bodies found by ZRP’s Sub Aqua Unit between Spurwig and Long Islands in the lake.
The bodies had stab wounds and hands tied behind backs.
Unconfirmed reports state that the two ZimParks rangers were murdered by Zambian poachers.
The two had been missing for almost a week now.
ZimParks spokesperson, Tinashe Farawo on his Facebook page said a service for the late rangers will be held at Nyaradzo Funeral Parlour along Herbert Chitepo in the capital.
“There is going to be a church service for our conservation heroes at 2.30 pm 8/12/2020 Nyaradzo, H. Chitepo.”
Police is currently investigating the case.
